1. Since the Tigers and Cal both lost, how far down do we go? Ohio State probably moves to #1, I suppose BC to #2, but South Florida to #3? Seems like we would drop to 3rd... Can USF be taken that seriously playing in the Big (L)east?

    :geauxtige
  2. The ACC is worse and BC is ranked above USF. So yes.
  3. LSU no worse than 4th, MAYBE 5th.
  4. Ah.,..I think you beat me to it.
  5. ESPN radio just reported LSU drops no further than 3rd.
  6. I have to believe we don't go any worse than 5th. The problem is Ohio State has an easy road to the championship. Maybe Michigan can rebound to beat them since they have won 5 in a row.

No freaking way should a team like USF be in the top 5. But they did beat Auburn who is playing very well right now.
  7. This is how I think it will shake out.

    1. Ohio State (7-0). Amazing they are going to be #1, they have played absolutely NO ONE with the exception of a over-hyped Purdue team.

    2. Boston College (7-0). LOL! Also have played only one top 15 team and no other top 25 teams.

    3. South Florida (6-0). Should be number 1 in my opinion (pitiful I know but out of them BC and OSU I take them), but at least they beat a team that was ranked in the top 5 when they played....they also beat Auburn when they were 17.

    4. LSU (6-1). Really they should be number 2, but I am trying to be realistic here. They are going to fall to 4, even though they beat numbers 9, 12 and 9 and lost to a team who will be in the top 10 come tomorrow. NO other team in the top 10 has come close to playing the teams LSU has.

    5. Oklahoma (5-1). They could easily be 4 and LSU 5 come tomorrow but I have no idea why. They have played 2 ranked teams to LSU's 4 and they lost to Colorado while LSU will have lost to a team that is in the top 10 now.

    6. Oregon (5-1). Looked good today and they're only loss is to Cal.

    7. West Virginia (6-1). Joke of a schedule but they are up here.

    8. Kentucky (6-1). They should be this high and maybe higher, they earned a lot of my respect today. They are for real.

    9. Virginia Tech (6-1). GO HOKIES BEAT BC!

    10. Cal (5-1). No sure they fall this far but I forgot to have them in my top 10 so I am adding them here! :)

11.. USC (6-1). They need 10 in the 4th quarter to beat a 2-4 team. :dis:
  8. 1. Ohio State
    2. Boston College
    3. Oklahoma - beat the #11 team
    4. LSU
    5. South Florida - can't be taken too seriously with the schedule thus far
  9. Well then you can't take Ohio State or BC serious either!
  10. That would be AWESOME!!!

I still say Michigan beats Ohio State at the end of the year and with that being their last game of the season, it would likely knock them out of BCS contention.

BC is going to get into their "meat and potatoes" part of the schedule, so they could stumble.

USF will likely pose the biggest problem as the Big East is fairly weak, but we only need to concern ourselves with getting to #2 in the polls.

We still have a long way to go before that happens, but our strength of schedule should improve late in the year if we make it to the SECCG and win it.
