I remember when Sammy Joseph was coming over from Colorado everyone thought he would be an All-American. I think most publications listed him as preseason newcomer of the year. Whoops.
I vote this Thread of the Month leading up to NSD. Clearly, not every 4/5* pans out. For lots of strange and normal reasons. Gotta 'member that.
:geaux: Wasn't there an OL out of John Curtis a few years ago, first name Jerry I believe? Can't remember the last name, but he was highly touted/ranked/etc. but never panned out. Don't know if he got hurt or just quit football or what. Maybe some of ya'll remember this guy? :LSU231:
I suppose he has another year to salvage things but what about Al Woods? Pro scouts are still touting this guy and if he sees the field, I never know it.
:geaux: Yeah, Woods has been a disappointment. Remember he was supposed to be like Dorsey, etc. when he came to LSU. Only time I see him is when they give some of the starters a breather or something. He doesn't stay in very long when he gets in. :LSU231:
He was in the same class as Warrick. They both left the year before I started there. Kevin ended up playing at Southern. Don't know why. He was considered by many to be better than Warrick in HS.
