1. In looking at USC and their recruiting if they sign every recruit they have promised they will start next year as freshman i think they are looking at signing about 200 prospects.

It looks as if Coach Carroll has been lieing to alot of players.

Does USC have the same scholarships as everyone elso does?

Because if they sign the 200 as promised they are going to have to split into 2 teams .

    This is so funny.

I hope it backfires on them.

Sooner or later these kids have to realize that about 175 of them are being played.
  2. How do you know that they have promised everyone they are recruiting that they will start as freshmen?
  3. I'd doubt that any player would be promised a starting spot at USC. He might promise them a fair chance to earn a starting spot if they are the best in their position i.e. upper classmen would have to earn spots and not just be given starts because they were older. I believe Nick Saban recruited similarly by saying the best players would play and he wouldn't play favorites.
  4. In every post visit interview you hear the recruit say that they explained how short they are at that position and how most of the team is declaring for the NFL draft. Just regular coach BS.

I know it is not everyone of them but you have to admit there are quite a few kids on the USC table. They cant sign all of them. You do the math.

USC will finish in the top 5 because they will lose some quality players. And it wont hurt they played for a NC the last 2 years and declared themselves 1 the year before that.
  5. If you look at this years USC team, you can see that they played some of their high profile recruits early. Patrick Turner would be a good example I believe. What is evident is that a lot of coaches probably lie to recruits because that is how the game is played. I also believe that a lot of recruits hear what they want to hear (i.e. you can play right away and that they are ready for the next level).
  6. Well, if you were a coach and the recruit asked you, "So coach, how soon do you think I will be able to start or at least play?" Well, to be honest, you might not see the field until you're a junior." Everyone now wants to play now. No one likes to wait anymore, except for DJ Shockley. I wish more college athletes were like DJ. Hopefully, RP does the same and waits his turn.
  7. I believe that all coaches lie to get a recruit. They promise them the world and then when they do not get it they transfer. Coaches will use every trick in the book to get a recruit even pay for him, in some cases.:tigerhead
