You would think that this would be something easy to find but I'm getting frustrated trying to find the facts. Can someone please lay out the guidelines for a incoming freshman and what he can/cannot do to keep his redshirt?
1 play and you lose the shirt. period. no if's and's or but's about it. However there is a loophole that a player can be "injured" and get a medical hardship waiver. /thread.
not quite! *if* the injury happens fairly early in the season, then the medical redshirt option is there
So what your saying is JJ redshirt is gone, see ya later, no chance, he's got 3 more years. (Assuming he doesn't get any medical redshirts in the future)
It makes little sense to redshirt Jefferson with a five star QB coming on board next year. We need to stagger the classes.
