I was posting in response to Hurricane getting upset that we were talking good about Murphy and not enough about KW. The thread its self is fine just hate to see when someone cannot be possitive

I would like to see how Murphy does when they scrimmage, especially how he does when there is no hole and he has to power through the line. Some lighter backs can run with deceptive power. I hate to point it out, but a few of Auburn's backs have fit that mold lately. Joe Addai was not that heavy but ran with good power. Did Murphy put on any weight since he signed? I think he was about 6-1, 195 Lbs out of high school right?

Well, the reason I felt compelled to post is because someone said that he's continuously heard that Murphy was considered the best player on the team...that's a team with the #1 draft pick, a team with a top 10 safety and a first round RB. I have never heard that and have a hard time believing that someone/anyone would make that statement.

I come here for realistic conversation. I'm looking forward to seeing Murphy on the field. Personally, I think Keiland could be special...like first round draft pick special. I don't expect Murphy to be as good as good. I hope, but don't expect.

The biggest problem I have is the people who are making these claims on the board have not seen him play themselves. They are reporting what others have said and we've got no way of evaluating the veracity of those comments. I'd give much more credence to someone who said they were at a practice and that Murphy was definitely the best on the field.

If his better than Keiland then either he is an absolute stud or Keiland isnt' as good as I think he is. I'd love for Murphy to be as good as some are assuming he'll be, but in my mind, if he can just be our #2 back he's probably a damn good back.

By the way, I don't think Charles Scott is in Keiland's league. Just an opinion.

If he has been running with the Scout O against the 1st team D all of last year as a RS freshman and getting yards, then I'm am not too worried about that this year.

I've never heard that he was the "best player on the team", but I have heard that he's looked great in practice. He was getting good yardage against our 1st team defense (one of the best in the country) with our second string offense & Oline (hell, our 1st team Oline wasn't that good, that is very impressive).

    Claire has.

I agree. He didn't grade out very well when he was playing, even though he was getting yards he wasn't following the blocks well.
