1. i know that he was suppose to make his visit this weekend, i didn't see him at the basketball game (wasn't really looking). does anyone know how his visit went? i noticed that we moved to the top along with tenn and south carolina i think. i know that he has grade problems and that is why he isn't going to go there. just wanted to know if their were any updates.
  2. He visited this past weekend with RP and Bennett.

Read his quotes from the rivals site. Was very impressed with his visit. Really like the academic center and stated that Miles and the coaching staff was going to do very well.

Since he's from Miami, Ali Highsmith and Dwayne Bowe were his hosts (since they are both from Miami as well).

Said his finalists are LSU, Tennessee and South Florida.

As far as grades, he said he's got the GPA to qualify. Just needs to bring up his ACT--which he's working on.
  3. I think this guy will definitely be LSU bound...
  4. I don't understand how these guys can't manage an 18, are they barely literate because an 18 is nothing.
  5. It's hard to imagine...but I guess you have to realize the conditions and quality of schooling that some of these kids attend...
  6. Yeah, I've been to Carol City, its probably the dump of all dumps. Plus, obviously looking at his name, Ricky is Hatian, probably a native so I doubt he speaks very good English.
  7. Some people just don't do well on standardized testing.

My brother is no dummy, yet he struggled to get a 19.

I graduated from college with a 3.4 and I only made a 24 of my ACT.
  8. i got a friend who made an 18, but he isn't dumb at all. If you are crappy at one area, then it will bring down your overall. Granted, i made a 19 when i was in the seventh grade, but i can see how it could happen.
  9. The ACT doesn't care how good they are at football - it's different than any other situation or cirumstance in their lives...
  10. Same here...I graduated 4th in my class in high school with a 3.92 and Magna Cum Laude in college in Computer Science with a minor in Math.

My ACT was only a 20. My take on it was that my schooling did not prepare me for excelling at the test. I had no chance of doing so.
