1. It is with a heavy heart and broken soul that i tell you that my nephew, JayB - Justin Barbier - passed away this morning. Many of you here walked with him through his journey through two bone marrow transplants and the resulting complications.

This morning at 1:30 AM, complications from Pneumonia were just too much for him. Please, keep his mom, my sister, Julie in your prayers along with the rest of our family.

Please, PLEASE consider becoming a marrow donor in his honor:

A braver soul i've yet to encounter. A greater man i'll never meet.

  3. Joel, I am so very very sorry. My heart is breaking for Julie and Brittany. If there is anything I can do, please let me know. And when you see Julie and Brittany, please give them a hug for me and tell them I love them.

  5. Damn, I really enjoyed his posts and his passion for LSU football. This is very sobering news. I am not a religious guy but I hope the family can find comfort. Is there some sort of relief fund for the family?

  6. Probably the saddest post I've read in my almost 9 years here.

After following his journey to Minnesota years back to his eventual return to Looziana, I feel like I knew him better than almost any other board member.

Prayers go out to his family and friends.

I will always remember his passion for all things

    You'll be missed JayB.

  7. Very sad.

His passion for LSU Baseball was greater than anyone I have seen. I wish I knew him on another level like some here.

My prayers are with the family.

  8. Honestly as soon as I finished this post I looked up at my TV at ESPN News and they were playing the NCAA Football 12 commercial with the  body paint dudes on it, first time I've seen it.

    Eerie, I'm tellin' ya.
  9. I agree with you, and I would be willing to bet that him and Wally are already talking about LSU baseball. I will miss his posts most then.
  10. My condolences to the entire Barbier family and all of JayB's close friends.
