  3. I just remember the mud between my toes as a kid but I thought that was normal. I joined the Air Force and quickly realized South Louisiana was not normal.
  4. My gramps had two camps like a block from the beach. I used to go often as a kid. Eventually the beach kept getting closer and ultimately they ended up hurricane casualties

  6. Hurricane Audrey put a whooping on Holly Beach in 1957.
  7. Long after that, hell I wasn't even a twinkle in '57. The camps were still there when I was in the corps so they probably lost them ~95 ish
  8. I was 10 years old when Audrey came ashore. The eye passed right over us.
