    it all depends

Is it just you and your wife that are going, do you plan to cook.

Let me know what your gameplan is and I could help you out alittle more.

Get a grill and cook some food, buy some beer and drink it, bring some tunes and try to find a spot with some shade. Add friends/family and enjoy.

    Random thoughts on tailgating:

If you cannot assure yourself that you will find a spot in the shade, you definitely need to bring some shade as in a tent etc. I know this is an expense but you will be miserable if you have to sit out in the sun all day. Find the right spot and you won't need one. You can buy them at Academy and will find many other uses for them. Bring water, it will be hot and your other beverage of choice will not quench your thirst. Bring a bottle opener, someone will come with beer that is not a twist top. You need to have trashbags so you won't litter the most beautiful campus in the world. A table is also handy to spread out all the goodies. If you are not going to cook, fried chicken works well. You cannot ever bring enough chairs. If you are going to cook bring more than one sharp knife, the plastic picnic knives are not strong enough for the heavy duty cutting like meat, sausage etc. Napkins are a must. You have to bring the obligatory football. Who knows, you may get bored and actually throw it around. In our case it is the only thing that keeps the 9-10 year old boys who tailgate with us occupied for most of the day.

If you are going to cook jambalaya or anything else that requires the addition of water its best to bring your own water for that too.

Well were we are at is lovely and plenty of trees.

We tailgate on the parade grounds to the right of the steps of the student union. Plenty of parking either right there are across the street behind the french House. They have tons of trees around the parade grounds and plenty of open area to toss a ball.

Being that we are playing ASU all of the "BANDWAGON" tailgaters will not be out there. I call them this because they are the people who go out for the OSU game for 3 reasons....1. Gameday is here! 2. National Championship 3. First game of the season.

Anyone that tailgates on the parade grounds and have tailgated there such as we have over the past 5 years can give a BIG amen to this statement.

If you would like you are more then welcome to come out and tailgate along side of us or if you would like along with us. We have 3 ezup tents that we always setup and you and yours are more then welcome to come and share.

If you would like to just let me know so that I can tell my freinds to be on the look out for you, I can not make it being over here in Ft Hood, but they would be more then happy to help you guys out.

Me and my wife are going but We'll be by ourselves. Not planning on bring alot of stuff but if someone is tailgating I'll bring some stuff to cook and some beer.Just not planning on hauling a grill myself. Just chairs and ice chests, we travel light, if we cant find anyone to tail gate with......there's always the motel. I figure I can throw a bunch of party stuff and lawn chairs in my truck and we're good to go. Might bring a few nick naks just in case.
I think Im gonna print off that tiger forum thing for my truck window. Cya there!

OR I could drag my race car trailer and leave the car at home!@ IDEA! it's got AC , generator and LOTS of room. mmmm something to think about
