Where can I find LSU Football Rosters dating back to 1950's through the 60's. Reason I am asking, I came upon a very old Football Picture with Charles McClendon and a Line of Players being interviewed by CBS and I don't recognize the Player #75, who is being interviewed. At work, no scanner to insert picture. Thanks! :geauxtige
Check here and there's a drop-down box...choose the year(s). :thumb: http://www.lsusports.net/SportSelect.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=5200&KEY=&SPID=2164&SPSID=27812
I have all the rosters, all the way back to 1893. What are you looking for? BTW I have names even Taylor left out of his book, and find new names every few months. All of these rosters will be in a book one day God willing.
I don't have specific year, I just know Charles McClendon is in the picture. Uniforms look like late 50's early 60's. I don't think it is Tiger Stadium, my guess again, maybe a bowl game. I guess the best thing to do is scan the photo tonight, after work, and post it on the board to help identify the player #75. Thank You
HERE IS THE PICTURE OF THE PLAYER I AM TRYING TO IDENTIFY http://www.geocities.com/cajunpal_2000/LSU.html?1182296264359
That photo appears to be: Number 75 Don Estes starting Left Tackle Number 67 Remi Prudomme starting Left Guard Number 53 Dennis Gaubatz starting Center The game would be the 1963 Cotton Bowl CBS television did two LSU games from the 1962 season; first the Georgia Tech game on Oct. 6 1962 at Georgia Tech; Then the Cotton Bowl on Jan 1 1963 vs Texas Trying hard to find my copy of the 1963 Cotton Bowl program to confrim the photos. Its here somewhere in all the stuff. Will get back to you soon on the photo... Bobby Raymond doesn't appear as a letterman, so give me some time to go back roster by roster... Back in the 50's and early 60's the LSU freshman team could number between 30-40 players and I have to check each.
