Well said. Nothing against UT and Mack Brown, but Saban has built the better program in BR, me thinks. :thumb:

The rumor I heard (or read rather) was that Perrilloux stated that should Texas fire Mack Brown (if they don't get to a BCS/ if his future is not known) and/or if LSU's QB situation hasn't worked itself out, he said he would consider pulling his name from Texas' "verbal" list and signing with the Tigers.

Not to mention the other things that Saban, and the rest of the athletic teams at LSU, have gotten. State of the art Center for Student Athletes is the first thing that comes to mind. Second, for football specifics, our stadium is undergoing a major renovation project in which Tiger Stadium will increase it's capcity.

It's amazing how much our atheletic facilities have improved over the years-especially since Saban has come on board (and since Skip took over as AD). LSU has 2nd-to-none facilities, IMO.

Exactly when are the renovations projected to be finished and how many will TS seat?

Should be finished for the start of the 2005 season. It only adds about 500 seats with a new press box and some more box seats.

I had heard that they planned on closing in TS and increasing the capacity to over 100,000 in the process. Is this still in the works and for when?

I'd love to believe that but why not commit to LSU, why Texass. I think he firmly believed at that time that he waanted to go to Austin, hopefully he will change his mind as signing day draws nearer and the strings on his heart start being pulled.

Texas has very good facilites also, I'm not sure if their academic center is as nice as LSU's but they do have one for the athletes. They have one heck of a lot of money so I'm sure their facities are great, it's just that LSU will be able to now at least match the best programs in the country and surpass most. LSU should not lose any recruits due to facilites, that's for sure. Saban talks to RP every Tueday according to RP. By the time signing day rolls around he may be more confused than he is now, which may be a good thing.
