I pray the offensive line opens a hole or two for them to run through. I also hope JV can hang on to the football.:tigerhead

We really needed Alley Broussard this season. People thought at the beginning of the season that we would be fine at the running back position. As soon as Alley went down, I knew we were in trouble.

Addai is a stud and would've had a great year if the OL was doing better. We didn't need Alley to have a better running game, we needed an OL that did better job.

I agree but I had no idea the loss of Alley would hurt so much. Watching Addai and Carey....and sometimes Vincent, I thought we would be fine.

    Well let's see...

    Miami has the #15 Run Defense 104/game (9TD), #1 Pass Defense 148/game (14INT, 6TD), # 3 Total defense 253/game, and #2 Scoring Defense 12/game(15TD).

It will be interesting to see how Les/Jimbo will attack it to say the least.

Isn't Les calling all the offensive plays against THE U?

It'll be tought doing ANYTHING against Miami! They have the #3 over-all defense (LSU is #5 believe it or not).

Miami is 15th against the run and have the nations top defense against the pass.

LSU is 7th against the run and 17th in the country in pass defense (even after the UGA debacle).

This will be a very tough game to win. If we do win this game, this will definitely help us in the preseason polls, recruiting, and hopefully high hopes for the 2006 season. Geaux Tigers!

    Same as Georgia ...

no vertical passing game = no rushing = loss

Flynn gives us a ray of hope ... and a chance to take the starting job at QB going into Spring drills.

    1. Flynn knows the LSU playbook ... he's solid.

    2. Flynn has a good arm and can connect against Miami on vertical strikes if allowed to throw.

    3. Flynn's mobility gives LSU a fighting chance to keep drives alive with execution.

    4. Flynn will have to do an EXCELLENT job in his execution to give LSU a chance in Atlanta ... no more telegraphing or staring down his WRs ... target or spot passing routes with plenty of play action and scrambling ... AND SOME COACHING PLAYCALLING SANITY ... TO ELIMINATE PASSES BEHIND THE LINE AND minimize those short passes over the left side ... the ones GA & my grandma were expecting.
