HaHa you said doofus. I have to admit I felt the same way he did when Saban left but sometimes you have to update your views. I give props to Miles with what he has accomplished because too often teams fall apart with the addition of a new coach after the previous coach leaves because of success. He stepped in and made all of Saban's recruits believe in his system and nobody can doubt it has worked. Well accept ramah.
Why in the hell is Booty in the top 10?:angryfire He was a nobody until the season started, played one game against Arkansas and he automatically is considered for the Heisman. THis is pathetic. I guess you're right CParso about your team being a media darling and you will be considered for the Heisman. What a joke this is!!:cuss:
Gotta disagree with you Ramah. You got personality, but you're off base with your assessment of Miles. He proved himself good last year with quality wins over Auburn, Fl., a good Bama team that skunked your beloved TT Red Raiders showing them what a real SEC defense does to Mr. Leaches offensive genius. Miles went 11-2, lost to Ga. is the SEC championship after playing 10 straight weeks, kept his team together through coaching changes and Katrina disruption, with a talented but inexperienced QB, then went out and with a bit of rest, DISMANTLED a quality Miami Hurrincane team in the Peach Bowl. LSU finished #6 in the nation last year. Miles had a much better year in 05 than Sabans 04 season, with much the same cast (except an upgrade at QB). If your expectation is a MNC every year, you should leave again, because your incessant whining is quite the bore. You took the opinion initially that Miles was so-so at best, and your pride forces you to ignore his great success last year and look for the negative when all evidence is that we had a great season. Miles is better than you gave him credit for, and you can't bring yourself to admit it, and that you were wrong. I did not know what Miles would or would not do at LSU, but I wished him success. When some wanted to throw him under the bus, with Pelini, after last years loss to Tenn., I said it was 1 game, give them a chance. After a year, I like coach Miles and Pelini. You should never be in a position where you have to hope for LSU to lose, to make your prediction come true about Miles. Look, we never won a nat. championship under McLendon, Stovall, Arnsbarger, Archer, Hallman (oh no), or Dinardo. Shocking? No. Worthless years of competition, well no, of course not. There are a lot of fine memories in those years of Tiger Football. I certainly wouldn't trade them to be a fan of another team, like Bama, cause they won some national championships in those years. I was born in La., my dad was a Tiger fan, and so am I. To pull for LSU, you need to support the coach, and he has PROVEN he is capbable of leading us to a top 10 finish under trying circumstances. Enjoy what you have, it is good.
Ramah, I haven't figured out if you are serious or just messing with people here. Your theories are so stupid and inane that I actually have a theory that you are just screwing around here. You keep making comments about Les getting "the cupboard full" at LSU. Well then how do you explain his success as OSU where the cupboard was not only empty, but also shattered. Also how do you explain his track record? He turned around OSU to a bowl team, serious Big 12 team and has only lost 2 games as LSU coach?!!??!
actually, les inhereted a team that went 9-3 and lost the final game due to a certain "defensive genuis's" lack of regard for winning and only dropping back2/3 on a hail mary play. saban left us with no care about us or how our program would fare out. so i'm having trouble figuring out your rules for classifying someone as an "oaf"
Calling Les Miles an "oaf" is completely uncalled for, and it makes me angry just reading this thread. Coach Miles is fielding the best product we've seen since '03, and half of the guys doing it are his. He and his staff are doing an incredible job--which they also did last year.
Dead serious question: Ramah, are you retarded, or maybe even a slight case of mental retardation? Please answer that seriously, I really want to know.
When you replace a Heisman candidate (or winner in the case of their past 2 QBs), if your team can still win with you at the helm - that makes you an automatic contender.
