What a long-winded bastid u are! Ownership has it's priveleges. I just farted ... you're free. The rest of you idjuts just keep on sucking on those Miles lollypops ... lol

2003, LSU went to the top of the mountain. ONE MAN GOT US THERE!
2004, LSU without a QB (unheard of to win 10 games without 1) damn near did that (except for a fluke play) ... We had a real Coach then ... not some clown to run off and suck off the Cotton Bowl Comittee. Saban had all three current LSU QBs in the fold when he left (even Perriloux was in the bag).

Go ahead and exaggerate Miles accomplishments. I don't see it. LSU was primed for a NC run last season. Saban left Miles that chance. You think LSU would have lost to Tennessee with Saban here ... LOL

The Tennessee game showed me what Miles was made of.
The Cotton Bowl suck-fest showed me what Miles was made of.

The Miami game showed us all ... WHAT ONE MAN'S VISION COULD DO FOR A SCHOOL ... THE FASTEST WR CORPS IN AMERICA & A SMART PLAYBOOK-SAAVY BACK-UP QB ROUTED ONE OF THE BEST DEFENSIVE TEAMS IN THE US

DO YOU ASSCLOWNS HONESTLY ATTRIBUTE THIS SUCCESS TO LESS SMILES?

If you do, you really are idiots and homers.

Nick Saban brought the "tenet" of "SPEED, SPEED, SPEED" to LSU ... not Miles.
Saban recruited those kids we even got this year ... YEAH, ANIMALS, THEY START COMING TO LSU JUNE CAMPS IN THEIR 10TH GRADE.

Darry Beckwith ... on Saban's radar screen years ago.

ALL THE REAL TALENT LSU HAS IN 2006 & NEXT YEAR IN 2007 WILL STILL BE MOSTLY WHAT WAS LEFT FROM THE SABAN ERA.

I'll say this ... then disappear ... that'll make you assclowns happy ...

    ABSOLUTE FACTS
    1. LSU has the TALENT (Saban's base talent AND CARRYOVER) to take the NC this year. No one has better TEAM SPEED, STRENGTH, and Top to Bottom overall Quality at skilled positions than LSU has.
    2. LSU has the potential to blow out every opponent they face this year, even Auburn this week.
    3. LSU lacks the discipline and leadership they had under Saban.
    4. Miles is not a bad coach. He's what he is. A former OL with a former OL mentality. Simply, he's not the sharpest tool in the shed (I say Oaf)
    5. If LSU loses this game Saturday, this indicates to me one simple thing.
LSU coaching does not measure up to the OUTRAGEOUS PLAYER TALENT LEVEL.
    6. If LSU wins a close game Saturday, they will still have an Oaf for a head coach who is a notch below his player's talent level.
    7. If LSU wins big (like they are capable of doing with 30-40 points), then I AM ABSOLUTELY FULLO**** AND MILES IS A GREAT COACH WORTHY OF THE TOP COLLEGE FB TALENT IN AMERICA

Just like the "slim shady" video ... Will the real "Les Miles" Please stand up, Please stand up?

    We'll see Saturday. AMEN!

We can win by 60 points and this guy will not eat crow. It's not his style. He's too damn persistent.

I don't know if you agree with what you said, but I get the impression that you disagree with Booty being a candidate.

It is ridiculous to make a QB a Heisman candidate after playing one game against a poor Arkansas team, just because the previous QB was a contender.

Why isn't Colt McCoy in the Heisman race after the UNT game?

Yet he didn't commit to LSU until Saban left. Coincidence? i think not. I agree that LSU was without a QB, but it's HIS OWN FAULT that tons of LSU players showed up in 2004 fat and happy after a NC. His motivation was lacking across the board for the entire season. Then, he left. I mean, cmon! You had JR not studying the playbook like he should and JV coming into Sabans office asking for 1200 yards worth of carries, plus a bunch of OLinemen showing up fat and overweight, and the team generally being in crappy condition.

Blame Katrina and Skip Bertman for those atrocities. 11 straight weeks without a bye plus a coach and AD who think we won't win = BIG LOSS in the SECCG

Actually, Saban did quite a bit of work for Coach Miles in between the program changing hands. He wrote a detailed breakdown of each player for miles that included his thoughts. I also read that he said if he had more time, he would watch the LSU games, but usually can only catch part of them.

I know we are on the same side arguing about Miles, but just wanted to clarify that Saban was very helpful even after he left...

Booty is a candidate and he is a candidate because he is the QB on a NC contender team (atleast according to the media), but it's not just that - it is that he was highly recruited, and only sat because he was behind 2 Heisman winning QBs. If USC doesn't win 10+ games, Booty will not be a candidate. He's only a candidate so long as his team is winning. Plus, the Arkansas game was supposed to be a close, so USC is being overrated because people thought Arkansas would be a good team.

Colt is widely thought of as being too young, and only on scholarhsip because Texas lost out on Perrilloux.

JR will see a lot more playing time Saturday. I suspect he will play the entire game.

    ramah,

-Saban had a losing record against Auburn & Tubberville.
-Saban rarely, (ever?), won big over top 5 ranked opponents.
-Saban repeatedly had close games against inferior competition, and even lost to UAB.
-Saban was not immune from losing big (UGA waxed us in 04).
The talent Saban brought in was impressive, but didn't create the seperation you believe. And for all you talk of speed, most other top teams have just as much.
-Miles, in his first season, accomplished the same regular season record as Saban's greatest year. Yes, Miles lost to an over-matched Tennessee (we won't bother to talk about the circumstances surrounding that), but Saban last to an over-matched Florida with a freshman QB.
-Our defense, under the DC that Miles brought in, has not allowed a touchdown in 14 quarters. Saban, despite being a defensive mastermind, never came close to accomplishing this.

And lastly, Saban won the national championship, but he did it with a loss & was lucky to be in the game for that. Saban never went undefeated and never had a season where he blew every one out. And despite the dilusions of some, we did not compete for NC's regularly under Saban.

Pot calling the kettle black? Who's longwinded here? LSU has good talent, but we are not so outrageously talented that we will out talent the rest of the top ten teams in the country. USC, Texas, Auburn, Georgia, Florida, ND, they all have great talent also.

I go with results, LSU was 11-2 last year, ranked #6, good year and good coaching.

I am not just a homer. If we were looking at Curly Hallman, I would not be on that band wagon. Bad is Bad.

We are looking at Les Miles, and we're ranked #7. Life is good. Les has pulled in two top 10 recruiting classes, we are well positioned for the future.

We may lose this game (I think we win it myself), and if we lose, we can still have a great year.

Yeah, Parso ... Saban didn't do ANYTHING ... IT ALL MILES, you idjut.

You're the dumbest azzclown on this forum.

    Nick Saban :crystal:

Les Miles "just peachy" ... hey boss, the Cotton Bowl Bowl Chairman is an old "blowbuddy" of mine, maybe I can fly up there with you and apply some direct suction, so that when GA whips us, we can still make the Cotton Bowl
