I came in to say I heard the blurb on the game on ESPN and it was mentioned that JR was a Hiesman candidate. Someone beat me to it but I also stumbled into a train wreck here. Oh...and Ramah is gone again...

I think they need a year more times than not. But ovbiously some have built hype around themselves in their first year. They need to be in a bigt media market (Maurice Clarett).

BTW, Adrian Peterson was reallly hyped going to OU. He was the number 1 high school player in the country.

This is premature. JR needs to be so sharp that the offense executes very crisply for long periods against top flight competition, and he has not done that yet. He did very well in the first two games, and if he executes that well against Auburn, then maybe mention his name. I don't see him getting it this year, maybe next year.

Russelll is the Best QB we've had at LSU since Tommy Hodson IMO. One of the gutsiest performances was today in this.."Loss"

Well, he was one throw away from remaining in the hunt. Heroics with a big win would have played big. Could have thrown earlier on the bad call play when he was open, or could have led Davis in the endzone on the final play...Very disappointing...and i thought he was too experienced for that horrible time management at the end.

But i'll always be the optimist when it comes to LSU, unlike the sour cynics--who amazingly always like Fords.
