Anyone think anything has changed around the Perrilloux camp now that the season is underway? I know Saban spoke with him last week and his soft verbal to Texas isn't keeping any of the LSU staffers away. Also, there has been a lot of discussion lately about extending the eligibility for college players to 5 years - I wonder which class will start this if it passes - will current players be grandfathered - and I wonder if it would have any impact on Perrilloux's decision...

Vince Young (UT Starting Freshman) is 25 of 43 for 303 passing yards, 3 TD's, 0 Int's, 105 Rushing Yards, 140.0 Rating 2 games into the season. Keeping an eye on this...

i think he just means in general. the higher ups toss it about like they did with the BCS beforehand. talk about it for decades before deciding.

I thought the 5 year rule was concerning only basketball, since they are hurt most by players leaving early.

I wouldn't think that he would change his mind until after the season is over...

Here is where I first saw it discussed over the summer - I'm sure there are better articles on the web if you look around, but here is how I caught wind of it...

Vince Young is not a freshman, he is a sophomore.

    Embarrassing...

I bet our fans, 75% of whom left before the game, made a HUGE impression on Ryan Perrilloux and the other recruits.

If you left early you missed Xavier Carter turning on the jets, and Benne catching a pass with confidence. You also did the coaching staff a disservice by showing empty seats to impressionable high school recruits.
