I wish Jim Everett would have just walked off his show instead of shoving Rome. That "scene" MADE Rome, and don't think that he didn't orchestrate it.
LSUBud...Sorry, but you're off... Jim Rome's career was DERAILED by that incident, and he very nearly lost his bread and butter radio gig, and not just his ESPN job. The guy lost a HUGE amount of credibility, and it took him the better part of a decade to get back on stable credible footing, and he had to use a sportswriter on ESPN to make his return. Rome NEVER orchestrated the incident between Everett and himself. Rome had also made alleged comments about Everett's wife during his tenure as the LA Rams quarterback. I think Chris Everett (the actual tennis player) should have decked Rome for comparing Jim "I don't wanna get hit cuz I'm a girl so I will backpeddle while I throw the ball" Everett to her.
