1. Admit it....if you didn't go to the game last night and you watched on TV (like me) you were absolutely intrigued by the mouthpiece that Jon Gruden spoke about during MNF telecast.

I did a little research and ended up on WWL this morning on Bob Delgiorno's (sp) morning show talking about this mouthpiece.

Anyways, here is the website on the ----> Pure Power Mouthpiece .

Apparently this thing is supposed to "align the athlete’s jaw in a natural manner and in doing so, has been shown to improve explosive power, balance, and range of motion, flexibility, endurance and oxygen flow during training and competition, allowing the user to maximize their performance."

    Pretty crazy.

I oughtta buy one and try to walk on to the squad next year.

Do you think this is legit or do you think it's a gimmick?
  2. i thought thats what they were saying...even said it aligned their back vertebrae and all kinds of bs.

i didnt click the link but of course i dont believe it.
  3. Not sure I believe it either, but I went through the website. There's an interview with PGA golfer Scott McCarron, and he swears by it, says it made an immediate difference the first time he tried it. I start to think, hey, maybe I should get one, maybe I can take a few strokes off my game. I'll get one for my son, too.

Suckers start at $1,000. No thanks,
  4. sounds like those copper bracelets to me.
  5. Not sure????? I've never been more sure of anything in my life. What a crock!
  6. You know it is a crock of bs when they line up all sorts of testimonials from well known personalities. Its not to say they aren't good mouthpieces, but to claim they improve alignment of jaw and vertebrae? Give me a break.
  7. Remember the Spike Lee "It's gotta be the shoes!" commercials back in the Air Jordan days?

    It's gotta be the mouthpiece!
  8. Its not to hard to believe if you think about the function of the jaw.

And as someone that suffers from TMJ when the jaw is messed up it effects alot more then just the mouth.

The muscle that covers the jaw bone is a huge muscle that runs up the your face then towards the back of your head above the ears and then down the the back of your head and connects to your sholders and spine.

Not to mention all the nerves.

So while i think it can give you magical power or strenght i can buy it reliving pressure and stress off of certain muscles and allowing the user to move better and approve range of motion!

  9. What's TMJ?

I have heard of horror stories, if you get my drift.
