Former 5* CB Saivion Smith announced today that he will transfer from LSU. I find this a surprised, he appeared poised to get playing time, with a great shot at starting next year. I wonder is something took place or is it that he just doesn't want to compete and has fallen on the depth chart?

Maybe he just wasn't as good as his hype

Dunno, he played 10 games as a true freshman. Guessing he just didn't like the competition cause there's plenty of it. Still, he was projected the #3 on the depth chart.

Next man up

He will have to sit out a season wherever he goes unless it's an FCS school. Should have stayed. Jackson and possibly Toliver will be in the NFL in 2018

Really disappointing news. I was very excited to see him at LSU. Not a good run from corners from that area at LSU since PP7. Saivion and of course Rashard Robinson.
