Sammy didn't play in the game against UF is he injured? He was supposed to compete for a starting job this year but hasn't been heard from much, he played against Vandy so he can't redshirt.

Guess the other guys are better, this isn't Colorado and there was no garbage time in this game for him to get in.

I realize this isn't colorodo but he was a big time prospect and a starter at CU. I don't think he has taken a redshirt so taking one would be better than mop up duty, but I think many thought he would contribute early and often. Just wondering if maybe an injury slowed him down or if it was something else.

Um...correct me if I'm wrong, but when you transfer, you're forced to sit out (that's your redshirt year).

You are forced to sit out, but it does not count as your redshirt year.

But it counts as something, though, right? I mean, players have but 5 years to play 4.

Not sure of the exact rule. But I think they kinda treat it like a guy getting awarded a 6th year. I don't know how the put it in the rules.

I thought you lost a year when you transferred. The only way to make it back up is to redshirt
