His contract extension voided by Goodell. Per Adam Schefter. This will get very interesting

Says there is a clause that voids the contract if Loomis leaves, is fired , or suspended.

If he bolts for the Cowboys, I may slit my wrists.

Ha, I hear ya. This season, for both the Saints and LSU, has SUCKED and with news like this, it keeps getting worse. While anything's possible, he owes alot of his success to Drew. It's hard to believe he leaves with Drew signed for 5 years. It seems to make sense that he would try to make one or two more Super Bowl runs with Drew and if it doesn't work out, he walks.

Good point, but don't forget that Payton is the guy who sold the Cowboys on Romo. He might like the challenge of rebuilding the Cowboys into a champion with his guy at QB.

Maybe, but I don't see it. Him and Drew are connected at the hip. And after this year, just think about how high his stock would be if, after this abysmal year, he leads the Saints to another deep playoff run. Dallas will still be there for him, but I think/hope/pray that his immediate future is still with the Saints.
