tboy brings up a great point and one I definitely agree with.

What if we had won a couple of more games because our offense started clicking?

    What if we went 10-3?

Does Miles replace the guys at DC? I tend to think he probably still would have now, based on the aggressive approach he took at getting the very best guys available (Chief/Haley/Cooper).

Didn't we have two losses in the SEC at that point and bama had none. Even a win over bama, arky, and ole miss wouldn't have gotten us into the SECCG unless bama lost again.

i believe you are correct but if the game was a negative turning point for lsu it couldve been for bama too.

    Let's put it this way.

I wasn't upset when our D played so poorly against Arkansas.

So yes I was still worried if we went 8-4 that we would be stuck with Maleveto.

I like to point out to the UGA game...They came to Tiger Stadium and right out of the gate intercepted and ran back for a TD a Jarret Lee pass. That game was an embarrassment as UGA ended putting 50 in Tiger Stadium. A much hyped UGA team that ended up being not so good after all. I think that after that game LSU never recovered and yeah the BAMA game was close because we matched up really well against them.

i understand that there is a huge difference between what a fan does and what a player does, but i really wonder how much of the poor play was scheme/execution and how much was outright trying to get a coaching change.
