    What are you cooking ?

First we are setting up for breakfast so the kids won't get hungry too early: pancakes, bacon and sausage. Manda sausage, chicken wrapped in bacon, chicken sausage and chicken fettucini with sun-dried tomatoes and artichoke hearts for the entres. Variou dips, chips etc. to graze on including but not limited to Zapp's Crawtaters. Ice cold Guiness Stout (in a bottle) for the day and silver bullets in the can for the walk to the stadium in my traveling ice chest (Gallon sized ziploc with ice in it !)

That's a modern version of what we always called a "9th Ward Ice Chest" Basically, a plastic Schwegmann's bag filled with ice and beer. The plastic bags always drained rather nicely. Came with built in handles. You could double up the bag if you were moving more than a 6-pack.

I may have to make the switch, drinking brewskies "Schwegmann style" !

We're going to be arriving late for the first game, so it's probably Popeyes Chicken and Red Beans for us.

First tailgate will be the elegant, yet simple shrimp and fish fry for us.

The second tailgate is when the fun starts, when I will be cooking my soon to be world famous Pastalaya...or as it has come to be known in certain parts as "WEE-alaya."

I think I like to cook it more than I like to eat it (pastalaya that is...for you nasty thinkers).

I am a compliments hog. It feeds my ego.
