They say that with a new coach, "year 3" is when you truly get a taste of what kind of success you're going to have because by that time, while still have hold-overs from the previous coach, the majority of your contributing players are your own... That, and even though a guys like Flynn and Dorsey were recruited by Saban, neither of them were major contributors under Saban. Those guys have been COACHED by Miles and his staff and their play is a direct reflection of the long hours Miles' coaching staff has spent with them.

Miles' 3rd season....a current #2 ranking...24-2 record in 2 years and 2 weeks.... I'm LOVING what Miles is doing here at LSU!

I agree with that. Not that I think you fire a coach if he's not in a BCS bowl after year three (Depending on how bad the situation was when he steps in)

I did find this fact about Notre Dame to be interesting. History says Weis is done.

The Irish haven't won a bowl game since ending the 1993 season ranked No. 2beating Texas A&M 24-21 in the Cotton Bowl...........I do DECLARE. :hihi:

I know they're not about to fire CW cause they don't see the writing on the wall. I think they will as the season plays out but they still won't fire him. To do that would mean they'd have to realize they were wrong -possibly- firing Ty Willingham, and more importantly, recognizing that ND is that much in the pits where they have to experience another turnover.......especially after they were SO SURE Weis would be the savior.
