It's time for the LSU administration to do something about having to go to Auburn, Florida, Arkansas, and a top SEC East school in the same year. I don't care what it takes. Play Florida away 2 years in a row if we need to.

There is no reason why we need to just go ahead and freaking write off even years. Verge Ausberry, I'm talking to YOU.

Did anyone else hear that Louisiville got denied by like 10 SEC teams to do home n aways? The SEC basically got called out by some guy on FSN, he said something along the lines of "If your in the SEC and not happy that Louisiville might play for a national championship then schedule them"...

This is off topic completely as to the thread title, but I want names of schools.

I think the problem is that Auburn and Florida are good right now and Ole Miss, MSU and BAMA are pathetic. I remember when MSU, Ole Miss and BAMA were hot and Auburn was in the dumps. It didn't matter much then because we were in the dumps with them. We can rotate Florida to be home with MSU, Ole Miss and BAMA but by the time the schedule reflects it who knows which SEC schools will be good. I guess you just have to take your chances.

Didn't the Ole Miss series get swapped around a few years ago. I think we played them two years in a row at home.

MSU was only good because Sherrill was cheating. The Egg programs will not be anything anytime soon, and it's time to do something about it now while it's still going to be a problem.

I agree. But I'm going to guess somebody will cry foul if we try and change our schedule every time we get in a rythm like this. Look on the bright side. If VT shows up next year it will be one hellofa home schedule. It's years like next year that make me glad I have season tickets. This year not so much.

The crappiness of the home schedule on even years is only a part of it. It's having to go to possibly 4 Top 10 teams which makes it impossible to have a "successful" (read: SEC Championship) season.

But the flip side of that coin is that in odd years we have a schedule that is made for a championship run with all of our toughest opponents at home. We can't win a championship every year, but having regular favorable scheduling opportunities helps.

Did you think Arkansas was going to be a top 10 team at the beginning of this season? My only beef with your argument is that you never know who is going to show up year to year. Other than that I totally agree and wish we could make our schedule as favorable to winning as possible. (With the exception of playing Louisville's schedule)
