Not trying to stir the pot at all. Since Auburn was dead last I don't have a dog in the fight and was just expressing an unbiased opinion. Since that does seem to stir the pot I will refrain from further comment.

Just seemed like the guy was saying the three or four days of the SEC tourney is not as important as the whole season. Then you compared those three or four days of the sec tourney to the world series... It's not like the person said the ncaa tourney is irrelevant, all that matters is the regular season. If that was said then sure break out your world series comments. :thumb:

i was thinking the same. how can anyone with a 'dog in the fight' or not really believe the trny equates to the regular season title. Its not like this is a biased view because we won the conference outright. Its commonplace for teams already in the dance to rest or look past the trny to rest or just use it as warmup for a couple games.

I cant believe this is even a dicussion.

it's a discussion only for teams who's seeding or even tourney acceptance is in doubt. why else would the thread be dominated by tide and barners?

yes but even the times LSU's dance vip was in question via the dale brown days I never thought the SECT equated to the regular season. just when i think our somewhat rational gumps and barners are somewhat rational.

then again, this is the people's choice champs and the tahd we are referring to.

Suppose 2 teams played in a "National Championship" game and 2 others played in a...let's call it a "Flower Bowl" game. The winner of which game would be called "National Champions"?
