1. "Eric Weddle signed a 5 year, $40,000,000 contract with the San Diego Chargers, including a $13,000,000 signing bonus, $19,000,000 guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $8,000,000."

The guy makes 8mil a year! I've missed a ton of activities my kids were involved in including dances because of work and I make a hell of a lot less. I know he wanted to see her dance, but at 8 million a year a team expects a player to join them at halftime to prepare for the second half. I do however feel sorry for the guy, how is he expected to pay such a stiff fine when he only makes 8 million a year. That would be like my company fining me 50 cents for missing a meeting.
  2. Add to that the cost of living here and that fiddy cent is more like 65. Lucky you.

  7. It's not the dollar amount it's the fact that they wouldn't let the dude see his daughter without fining him. That's pretty low.
  8. There is no place for sentiment and heart strings in the real world. You eat or get eaten my friend.
  9. They didn't stop him from seeing his daughter dance he saw her, but they had to let the team know that the halftime team meeting isn't optional. At his salary it wasn't anything more than symbolic and he knows it. He should have been more than happy to pay such a miniscule fine to watch his daughter. I don't understand why he would complain about it to be honest.
