1. Is it 2009 yet?
  2. Pryor looks like Nelly in his picture and Shepard looks like Dave Chapelle playing some sort of character from his show.
  3. I'd have to agree with them on all the points listed.
  4. I still think Shep has the overall advantage over Pryor. Of course their both great athletes.
  5. It's interesting to read all the wisdom about an NFL QB's height being so important. Drew Brees is 6' and 210lbs. Kurt Warner is 6'2". McNabb is 6'2". Favre is 6'2".

Certainly, there are tall QBs who are very good - Cutler is 6'5". But to say Shepard will need to play QB or WR in the NFL because he's somewhere between 6' and 6'2" (depending on what you read/believe) is just ridiculous at this point.
  6. I definitely agree with this. This is what I was thinking about the entire time while reading the article. Since when was 6'1" too short for quarterback. Maybe too short for power forward, but not for qb.
  7. I think his point is more that Shepard doesn't have prototypical QB height, not that he isn't tall enough. Pryor really isn't built for any position but QB - his gazelle strides wouldn't be efffective at LB or DE. Shepard is built to where he could easily play another position.
  8. Well, if that's his point (and I completely missed that), then obviously I agree. The other part I find funny is he is making an NFL statement about a kid who hasn't suited up even a day at LSU yet. Every writer wants to be able to look back and say "I said it first", I guess.
  9. They're the #1 QBs of their respective classes (per ESPN). It is expected that those guys will make the NFL... it's not like the writer is making a reach here.
