petition the NCAA for a sixth season? If he does, will the NCAA grant it to him? I think he should because it will increase the value of his stock come next NFL draft. I suspect the NCAA will grant it to him. What do you guys think?

    Good post topic.

    Hard decison for him.

Do you stay and play another year (and risk career ending injury) or do you take the money this year for mid - late round pick?

I would stay but hard to pass up the oppurtunity to earn 6 figures for a few years.

Depends on his family situation, do they need the money right now? I see him going in the late rounds. If he sticks another year and dominates again, I see him going early, and making more money. I think he would make a great 3-4 LB.

    I think he DEFINATELY should!

Look, if the NCAA can grant Jason White and that freak'n thug, Dvorecek--both from OU, medical redshirt years, then a standup guy like Pittman deserves it!

If he petitions and is denied, then that would be the WORST decision the NCAA has ever made in these types of cases/situations.

Kirston is a solid college DE, but staying another year will not help his draft stock. He'll be a 5th or so round guy this year, and that won't go up any next year - it may go down. If Tyson Jackson comes back, he & Ricky Jean Francois will be our 2 best DEs. Kirston may not even have a starting spot.

He needs to get in the NFL & make some money while he's young & healthy.

Jean-Francois is a DT/DE, he played both last year, and was just as good at both. I personally would prefer to see him at tackle because we lose 2 senior starting DT.

He was a situational DT though. He didn't play DT full-time, and he's been practicing at DE all year.
