1. I have to say, while LSU has the best talent in the SEC, Tennessee should be good if their recruits live up to their rankings... Looking at rivals, they have had very good classes. They are loaded down with 4 star guys. I think they will have some strong players that most non-vol fans have never heard of. I dont think they will be nearly as good as LSU because I dont buy their supposed strength at qb. The hype around ainge and clausen isnt matched by their statistics.

  2. we dont have a problem with what you say...

just dont backtrack and flip flop to make everyone happy
  3. Where did I flip flop?

I said I believe Tennessee is the most talented team, but the team with the most talent does not always win the most. There is no flip-flop

  4. that is your answer
  5. Congratulations, Milo! You have just received your honarary Tigerforums degree in Tennessee "HOMER" ism (A CLASSIC GREEK REVIVAL SUBJECT). We have no problem with this, Milo and enjoy your intelligent and well-thought posts. However :hihi: It is obvious that you do not follow SEC recruiting closely. Again, we have no problem with this. Tennessee has been a distant 3rd/4th with GA and behind LSU & Florida when it comes to recruiting TALENT (Attrition aside). Fee-Fi-Fo-Fum Fulmer is one helluva recruiter to suit HIS NEEDS and makes the most of what he gets. True, he's been cleaning up since Alabama's demise and Tennessee's talent level has risen. You'll rest assured of this Milo, WE LSU HISTORIANS AND HOLDER OF THE GREAT SEC SCROLLS DO TAKE NOTE OF THE GREAT TENNESSEE FB LEGACY & THEIR LONG FORGOTTEN NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP (LAST MILLENIUM) :hihi:

Is there a ****ing mosquito in here :po:  :angryfire  :hihi: :dis: :laflagwav :usaflagwa :crystal:
  6. It's looking like I'll be joining you.... Sadly, it's something that I should have done years ago. :dis:
  7. I still think they'll win the East.

I can't stand Florida :angryfire . Spurrier or no Spurrier, the Gators have always been a team that I can't stand.

Yeah, I know the Vols had problems defending people last season. But why they had their troubles confuses me even more. I have to admit that they do have some talent on that team.

I think they'll be better off at QB this season with Ainge having played a good bit last year. Now, I don't think their QB situation is as good as ours--I think it's fair to say to have more depth. A lot more depth actually, but it's unproven depth.

UT will run the ball and Gerald Riggs Jr. is, IMO, just as capable as what Houston was for them in the past.

I don't have a problem with SI picking UT to win the SEC because I think they're the odds on favorite to win the East, and once you win your division, anything can happen in the title game. The problem I have with SI's "projections" is us finishing behind Auburn and 'Bama. No where but SI have I read jack squat about 'Bama and Auburn to be considered National Title contenders--something that countless other publications list LSU as. So if 9-out-of 10 publications choose LSU to win the West, and 50% of those that picked us to win the West, also pick us to win the SEC, where SI gets 'Bama and Auburn is beyond me.
  8. I think we should be able to take Florida... Leak can't take a hit, and we've got a hellacious pass rush. It's y'all that worry me, and UGA to a lesser extent. But we can make the SECCG going 7-1.

Then, like you said, anything happens in ATL. We hung in there until crappy holding calls by the refs towards the end of the game... But, the refs giveth and the refs taketh away. They open up our shot to beat Florida, then they take away the shot at the SEC at the end of the season.
  9. Let's keep rolling with that recruiting comment, shall we? I think the last four years are a good piece of sample data.

    All statistics are from Rivals.com

    Average class ranking:
    Georgia 6th
    Tennessee 7th
    LSU 10th
    Florida 11th

    Number of 5-star recruits:
    Tennessee - 9
    Florida - 7
    LSU - 6
    Georgia - 4

    Number of 4-star recruits
    Georgia - 48
    Tennessee - 47
    LSU - 46
    Florida - 36

You were saying something about UT being a distant 3rd/4th?

As for this season, we will see how everything unfolds one month from tomorrow.
