In a way I am thankful that Skip was smart enough to seek medical attention right away, instead of ignoring the symptoms until something more damaging finally happens. Cardiac angina symptoms can be so deceptive/non classical in different individuals that some don't even suspect the particular symptoms are cardiac related.

It is good that now he is in a controlled and monitored environment; my hunch is that he should be fine, and be able to enjoy the Tigers, hopefully all the way thru Omaha:thumb:

My wife has had two inserted in the past 12 months and they fixed what needed to be fixed with no after effects.

Skip will probably have to undergo some lifestyle (diet) changes to keep the doctors happy.

The news stories have conflicting reports but it was a heart attack. Cardiologist usually only keep a patient in care after 12 or so hours after a stint if no heart attack occured.

    He is doing well.

Prayers to Skip and his family. If he follows doctor's orders after this, he should be fine. My dad and my uncle have both had successful stents after heart attacks (my uncle also had his after an LSU baseball game 4 or 5 years ago...). My dad's heart attack was 15 years ago, and the changes he made in lifestyle are the reason he's still with us today.

So, his heart attack saved his life. Good luck, Skip!

Won't go into specifics but Skip is a very lucky man.

Media reports are greatly undervaluing the seriousness of his condition.

Now, he is doing very well and should be good to go home soon.
