Maybe everyone could take a cue from Saban when thinking about the baseball program: Once Saban understood that, he began trying to educate LSU fans that staying on an even keel was beneficial to his program. "I've tried to get our fans to look at it in a competitive way," Saban said. "I tell them to stay positive about our team because being negative only helps the other team. Our fans need to know that we're going to have some bumps in the road, and we'll lose some games. But if they stay positive, it will help us more in the long run."
