I'm hearing all this **** about Smoke losing in the CWS consistantly... Do people forget that to get there you have to win?

Has LSU just gone past the Regional and Super Regional level? Are we above anyone we should ever play? Why don't we just not play those games and have our automatic bid to the CWS. If you looked at these forums you would assume that the past two years' teams did nothing to get there. I see all these pictures of the LSU team holding up "Omaha" and "Goin' to Omaha" signs. Why? We get there every year; why are they excited??? I mean, they must know that they have expectations to get there, so once they do they should remain serious and not stop for a second.

Ahh, but some fans don't think getting to Omaha is any great accomplishment. They think it's easy to do and should happen every year. Being a top 8 team doesn't mean much to some around here.

The fact that some are suggesting Smoke should be fired tells you just how intelligent and knowledgeable they are as fans. This attitiude of winning it all or be gone is just mind-boggling.

And I'm sure some yahoo will chime in and remind me about going 0-2 in Omaha each year. Yes, it's extremely disappointing and frustrating. No, it doesn't warrant terminating a coach.

Well, they never did it within earshot of me. I guess that's why I was so blissfully ignorant of this.

 

I'll be the idiot... Smoke, Win 1 f .ucking game in Omaha, and I'll be your biggest fan... hell I'll be your biggest fan if you win an away Super Regional.

 

I'm not asking for a NC every year... I asking for at least a good showing... 1 fuc.king game in Omaha... or maybe an SEC Championship or hell maybe even a RICE Super Regional. Don't be such a Smoke Supporter that you forget he has yet to do anything when it counts (dont say aTm Supers, b/c we lucked out not having to play Rice). So really LSU has only EARNED 1 CWS appearance. Neg. Rep me all you want, but you can't justify why Smoke and the boys can't win ONE F.UCKING GAME IN OMAHA.
