    Info from today's Daily Oklahoman:

Clemson coach Jack Leggett has pulled his name from consideration and is reworking his contract with Clemson. (In other words, he used OU as leverage for more money.)

Andy Lopez of Arizona was contacted and said no thanks to even an interview.

Nebraska pitching coach Rob Childress was thought to be a candidate but was hired by ATM to be their new head coach.

Sunny Galloway (interim HC) will interview on Friday.

Other's on the Sooner's radar: Mike Gaspard at Northwestern State, Bama assistant coach Todd Butler.

Nothing about Smoke in the article.

If Smoke is considering a new job b/c he's "upset", then, by all means, don't let the door hit ya...

That's cool, if true. Perhaps he realized he doesn't have the skill to run a top-10 program and he wants to go to OU where, frankly, expectations are a little lower.

    Good...if true.

I have no inside information, of course, but I feel very, very confident that Smoke will be the baseball coach at LSU for the 2006 season.

Man, if you'd just hold John Brady to the same standard...

    Carface What the...?

It's insane that some people hate Smoke simply because he's not Skip. NEWSFLASH, it wouldn't be happy times if someone other than Smoke took the job. We'd be having this same conversation, but about someone else.

No denying Smoke strong suit isn't public speaking. However, if emotional talk translated to wins and losses, Curley Hallman would be working on his 15th straight National Title.

I'll bet you're something up on that podioum though.

By the way. That "Voice of Reality" thing...imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

Not necessarily the best example to make your case.

If there is so much parity in college baseball, then how exactly has Texas made it to the CWS 4 out of 5 years ? Seems like Augie is the only one who has figured it out. Small Ball, develop a 4th Starter, develop a closer, have a nice balance.
