Coaches
Now it may come as a suprise to some of you but CNS isn't the only good/great coach in the NCAA. Money tends to buy great coaches in case you haven't noticed. I think LSU has spent it's money wisely and most of the football guru's tend to agree. He certainly isn't hurting for a place to work now is he?

Talent
lots of talent doesn't mean lots of wins. Look at the Saints. :shock: over the years they've had lots of talent. where is their Super Bowl ring? We have some young talent. this guarentees nothing.

Remember something Coach Nick Saban said at the end of last year about last year's team having that something "special" in leadership.
That something extra, that burn or want to in your gut and the spit in your eye. Coach Nick Saban can't make the players feel this.
Sometimes it happens in back to back seasons but rarely.

it takes more than this, something almost intangible, undescrible.
if you are missing any one of these things you can forget it.
Last year we had it.
We waited 45 years for it.

Knowing the coaching staff and the talent that is up and coming at LSU.
I think I can wait 3-5 years after waiting 45. Saban will keep us in striking distance for the most part. One - two games away from a shot. Thats all we are this year, two games out of the running.

Might as well be 50 you say? maybe so but look at Ole MISS and other SEC schools.

Coach Nick Saban is trying to keep LSU close to a Champinonship so that just in case that intangible quality appears, LSU will win and win big. Like last year. you could feel it. It was something that just gelled. Something you can't quite put words to. Even Luck is with you when you have that certain "something".

We'll get there again. it might not be next year, but it will happen and it won't be 45 years from now.

We're still the LSU fightin Tigers. Be proud and hold your head up high!

We've seen worse days for LSU football and with less talent.
I don't know if we can win next week
BUT
We should win the rest and make a bowl game!

Its never easy defending a title muchless with a whole new cast and crew on
offense.

Some peoples expectations for this team was just UNREAL!

then again our D hasn't been as good as we thought either...

EVERYTHING favors us next year btw...
