1. S.C. is on ESPN2(U).. too bad LSU couldnt have a game. I still dont understand the scrimmage deal. They could have sat everyone on the east side (?) of the stadium and been fine. I probably wouldnt have gone, but it would have probably gotten them on tv.
  2. Well don't they usually sit everyone on the east side? I know for at least the last couple of years they started filling the east side up first. Once that filled, they started moving people to other areas of the stadium. I don't know why Miles is opposed to having a real game. Seems that a lot of teams are doing it that way these days, plus I thought Miles had "rough persona." Oh well...
  3. Coach Miles gave the reason for no spring game, it was in the paper this morning. He needed to evaluate the players in different situations that he can control in a scrimage, not in a game. He can control the amount of plays
he wants certain players to be in, (some he knows some he don't). He is doing what is smart, just not popular right now.
  4. Thanks Golden! I need to find a copy of the Advocate... heh

  5. I agree with him having no spring game, he is still learning his players and evaluating them for certain situations.
  6. I still can't figure out why Croom and MSU got a spring game on TV but I have a sneaky idea why.

SC I can understand with Spurrier
  7. yeah SC is one thing but...

I would think since the media is sucking off Tenn. and Florida these days, they would show their spring games... not MSU?... jeez

  8. PC
  9. Evaluate players? isnt that what he has been doing all spring? you can have lots of scrimmages througout the spring.. the Spring Games is for two things...
    1. Get players on the field that will never see it again until the next spring...
    2. PR... plain and simple.. keeps everyone in a football state of mind.
  10. Evaluating players? Seems odd to me that you will pulling money from the fans that are not only looking for some football but also a little entertainment. I will not attend next years spring scrimmage especially if it's at high noon. He can evalute players plenty prior to this and this summer.

Was not impressed with this type of deal. Pretty much boaring.
