Since my Rockets thread is unpopular, I decided to ask you all what is up with the Spurs. It all started beating the Heat by 1. That's pretty bad. then Got killed by the Bees, then lost to the SONICS? Team is just 28-15 overall and has a pitiful road record.
Parker isn't 100%. I think that's the biggest problem. He was their best player in the playoffs last year, and we all know how important a good point guard is in the NBA these days. As of tonight they are sitting him indefinitely until his heel is better. I still think they'll be okay and have as good a shot as anybody to win the west.
they've never won as a 5th-6th seed. that's what they project to be right now. something isn't right. the "old spurs" don't lose to Seattle. period. the above poster is right about Parker and Duncan battling injuries a little, but still. I just see an old Bowen being older, an ancient Horry being more ancient, an old Finley being older. They might be done like the Heat in 3-4 years if they don't retool their role guys now.
I'm glad to hear they suck. I hate Tim Duncan. Of course I hate the NBA too. I haven't watched SportsCenter in 3 weeks. Continue with the thread please.
Wow, out of any player to hate SF picks Tim Duncan. Yeah, he's beaten his wife, spit on a ref, and tried to scratch his coach's eyes out. Way to pick em' SF. :dis:
I do agree its obvious that the Spurs are on the precipice of repeating the Heat's woes. I think they will retool this offseason before that happens. They will get another defensive specialist and another big man to supplant Duncan.
they traded Luis Scola to Houston for virtually nothing and Scola is playing really well for us. He could have really helped them.
