  5. I never thought about how it was spelled. My Grammaw made a great duck gumbo but if all she had was pool doo she made gumbo out of that.. Very tough meat and not very tasty. I stopped shooting them because I didn't want to have to eat them
  6. I disagree. Poule Deau (water chicken or Coot) eat vegetation, not fish, so the meat is not bad. Only the breasts should be eaten though. Try them in gumbo with a good fresh (unsmoked) sausage and add a pint of oysters just before serving.
