So, what is up with the ongoing work with the metal grates in front of the glass windows? I see the small middle section of glass is exposed but the two large areas on either side still has those awful looking metal bars. Anyone know why?
I'm pretty sure those are suppost to be there and they havn't finished putting them on for some reason. That's just my opinion from the architect drawings I saw.
I prayed that those things weren't permanent, but they haven't come down yet. It looks like an ongoing project...yet, sadly it's finished.
I thought (and hoped) it was something temporary, but they have to be staying up. They seem to take down sections, then a week later replace them. Been going on alllll summer, pass it everyday twice a day. I don't like it all though. And it seems like they will never finish.
They have been working with two orange cherrypickers every day since this time last year placing all those steel bars across the glass wall. One . . . at . . . a . . . time. You'd think they would pre-fab large sections and just lift them up. I think the bars are to filter out some of the sunlight from the afternoon sun on that glass wall and also to make the glass wall more resistant to hurricane winds. The cranes have not been working this week and from my angle it looks like all the bars are in place . . . but the cranes are still in the lot, so maybe not.
