1. And yet, you miss the entire point. It's not that Pete should have agreed with him, or that Sanchez is right, or wrong for going. It's that Pete made the statements he did, in public. Sanchez is a grown man, and has earned his degree. The very reason these athletes are given scholarships for in the first place, right? If he can land a multi-million dollar job now, after getting his degree, I don't see a problem with it. Maybe he will be successful, and maybe not.

Regardless, these were words to be spoken in Pete's office, not Sanchez's presser. That is why Pete is getting slammed.

  2. Maybe I could understand PC's comments had he also said that Taylor Mays was making a mistake by returning for another year.

Making a comment when it only benefits the coach leads me to believe what I've always though about Petey.
  3. This might be the best post of the entire thread.

    Well done, sir.

    Well done.
  4. Around the Horn has it as one of it's topics.

Let's see what that fool Plaschke says about it.

  5. Everybody slammed PC...except for one. Any guesses? :hihi:

  7. Nobody gave him a pass, that's for sure.
  8. Saw this comment, thought it was funny:" who can blame Sanchez for leaving? I mean, he'll make MILLIONS in the NFL, where he only makes hundreds of thousands at USC."
  9. Nice Caption

After making his opinion known, USC coach Pete Carroll left Mark Sanchez's press conference by giving the departing quarterback a cold handshake.
