Juniors that get passed by freshman often transfer to find some playing time. If it is true that LSU does not want a drop-back passer, then Rettig may transfer as well. But I think it is more likely that Rivers just wasn't quite the quarterback that we had hoped. I can't imagine Cameron would limit himself to one type of quarterback.
Been rumblings about this since the season ended. He has been exploring options and the staff will support him either way. I haven't heard it as being official as of yet.
Wouldn't surprise me, but I hate to lose one before the QB position is settled. If he does go I wish him the best.
Curious about something. It says he's a Sophomore, yet he's graduating. Graduating from what college at LSU and with what degree? How can someone get enough credits to graduate that quickly, or am I missing something?
He redshirted, so he's been here three years. Business Administration with a 120-hour degree. You can do it in three years if you take 16 hours a semester and 8 in the summers. Heavy load for an athlete, but some do it.
So the idea behind 'student athletes' is that you play football to pay for college and get a degree. However, its possible that you can graduate and still have a college support you for two years if you play football and take a bullshit online course. How this is not at least a semi professional athlete?
