1. Despite not "liking" him, I've been an advocate of his abilities. That expression has been met with a lot of resistance here by others saying he's washed up.

For him to do what he's done/doing, AT SOUTH CAROLINA, is truly amazing imo.

Good chance they throttle us this weekend and send us toppling for good this year while they remain a top 10 team.

  3. I don't have a great feeling about next Saturday night, but I refuse to believe we'll be "throttled."

Of course, if our offense doesn't start executing, it could well get ugly if our defense gets tired like they did yesterday (and who are we kidding? against Towson). I mean, we can't even RUN the ball anymore. Wouldn't everyone who complained about our running game like to see some semblance of it again?
  4. Yes indeed.

Maybe "throttled" is over-stating but I really don't think it is. South Carolina was a game that worried me before Florida. I had that game and Bama circled as the two toughest. Keep an eye on their defensive ends.

Their quarterback is very good too. One thing I don't like about Spurrier is that he's too hard on QB's. SS has been high on this kid- says a lot- he's legit.

I would gladly return to this thread and admit to being wrong.
  5. Winning at south Carolina is somewhat of a miracle. If they pull it off. I told a few people coming into the season he has an undertalented somewhat brainy qb that fits his mold better than Garcia. I still don't believe in Connor shaw but sos has convinced him he's actually good somehow. And spurrier coming in with swagger and a confident qb could equate to another loss. We will play hard but how sloppy will it be. 4 more personal fouls is 4 too many. Too many fumbles too undisciplined and too unfocused to beat anyone that matters thus far.
  6. Its time for Miles to swallow his pride.

He has to understand when he doesn't have the type of players to fit his scheme and adjust.
  7. Weird. I have a GREAT feeling about next Saturday. I have no idea why! I'm sober too! It may change, but just because we are coming off an emotional loss, we are at home, at night, I think it's going to be a magical night in death valley, and LSU shows up and shows up big time. No pressure, lower expectations, playing to have fun, and, not sold on SC yet, because I'm not sold on UGA yet either.
  8. You had it right. Carolina by 14 IF they take it easy on us. They will have plenty of time to decide as CLM will continue to call a game that produces 3and outs by the truck load.
  9. This is where I am also. I think our defense lights them up. The offense will likely suck big time. Not due to players, just that CLM refuses to do anything about it. My hope is that we play loose and just throw cautionto the wind. It hasn't been tried, yet. AND put Bolden in for a change up...PLEEEAAAASE!
  10. I don't know what to think about SC because of the same reason. UGA has not impressed me in quite some time.

On the other hand, LSU has not impressed me this year, either.

I call it a toss up next Saturday night. Miles teams have not lost back-to-back games since '08 (which this season, unfortunately, is starting to feel more and more like), but we are racking up more penalties than points lately, and that's not improving. So I don't know what to think.

Perhaps there will be something to be said for playing with nothing to lose? We are used to that much anymore. Would it make any difference?
