Couldn't shoot yesterday due to a work event but sittin on the porch watchin the rain and shootin a few right now. Plenty birds comin in but most to far and its rainin to much to go sit out with em but I've been able to pick off 6 they cruised in a little to close to the porch. Several others came in from over the roof right over me but didn't seem in time with the angle they came in. Hopefully the weather will cooperate better tomorrow afternoonand can get a few before and after church.
I could have shot ten or so this afternoon, just saying...and just jealous. We do have early goose on the near horizon and I have some great areas with birds!
I am not advocating anything illegal.......but I have a cousin who loves to eat doves but lives in an area that he cant "hunt" them....but he has a bird feeder and a pellet gun and can have a few bacon wrapped doves on jalapenos with cream cheese appetizers any time he wants.
No kidding. Rode over to bass pro last night in Spanish fort for a buddy to look at GPS units and hand held VHFs. Took the families to and ate while there etc but also looked at ammo. Picked up some more dove shells and the 7mm rounds I like to hunt with but tried to get some 22 as well and they were totally out. Had pretty much everything else but no 22 at all
