Strength of Schedule question

Can anyone explain, or link to a site that explains how the Strength of Schedule is figured out for bowl ranking purposes? Thanks for the help.

I was an English and history major. That doesn't help me at all.

 

Thanks for the link, I understand now, but it would take FOREVER to figure it out on paper. Thinking about writing a program that does it automatically.
