Stromile Swift got a payday today, agreeing to a 28 million dollar deal with the Rockets. This is good news for me b/c he is a Tiger, but also good news b/c the Rox are my fav team! Hopefully his athleticism can compliment Yao well.
YAAAAAHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! Another reason to watch the Rockets. With Yao Ming and Tracy McGrady, and add Stro, they have a really good young team. Still need a true point guard though.
With Yao Ming as their starter, Houston wont make it too far into the playoffs. The Rockets, for the most part, played much better last season when old ass Dikembe Mutombo was in the game. I'm glad STRO is in Houston now. I've made at least one Rockets game each year since 99.
Damon was GREAT in Portland last year... He really did a great job mentoring Telfair. Spree thrived under JVG: And how can you say that about Yao who averaged 20 and 10 against Dallas? He is only in his young 20s... He got in foul trouble a lot, but that is b/c he didn't have someone to help him contest shots: Insert Stro here: I think Houston will challenge SA hard this next season.
If you think Damon "puff daddy" Stoudamire and "choke coach" Spreewell are good pickups for Houston, i'm not sure what to say.... If Spreewell thought PJ Carlesimo was a prick, I can't wait to see how he responds to Jeff Van Gundy in your face style of coaching......
When was the last time u watched the NBA? They both MADE IT TO THE FINALS with the Knicks together! This was AFTER the choking incident too! he would be a GREAT defensive addition to the team!
Not sure I agree with the comments on Ming. He isn't a great player but he is quite a good one, imo. With Swift and McGrady....they could be good
