1. So him agreeing to more money than stro got proves your point? okay?
  2. You are frusturating the hell out of me. I can't tell if you're being serious or just being a complete moron on accident.

So you are claiming that the Nets were going to be able to offer Stro 8 million a year? Reef is getting about 6 mil a year. Where is that extra 2 mil a year going to come from? It can't come from anywhere because all the Nets can give Stro is the mid-level exception.
  3. Just remember clair got all frisky thinking of Spree and Stoudamire playing on the same team. If The Rockets are that dumb, which I doubt, they deserve to be a 6-8 seed every year......
  4. Stro is getting 27 million over 5 years:

SAR is getting 38 million over 6 years:

The whole point I am trying to say is that he took less to play at home:

That is ALL I tried to say man!

The Nets are giving SAR a little extra b/c of the trade:
  5. www.hoopshype.com

go to rumors... it will CLEARLY explain that SAR is getting 10 million more than the MLE:

"If the deal is completed, Abdur Rahim would get 38 million dollars over 6 years, roughly 10 million more than the Mid Level Exception would have brought his way."

    There! :)
  6. Guys, it is the NBA.

We really should get too mad about this
  7. I'm not angry! I'm thrilled he is one of us: I just find it amusing how people will fight and fight and fight, when they KNOW they wrong
  8. Really? Thanks, you already posted that a few posts ago in the ESPN article. It is 10 million more because: a) it is spread out over one more year and b) the Nets can use their $5 million trade exception.
  9. You're an idiot.
  10. I've gotta agree here. The Rockets were one of the best defensive teams in the NBA last year - their problem was that they were relying on moochie norris and mike james to run the floor. as a result, they were not that efficient of an offensive team. In many games, the PG play was so spotty, TMac took over the helm. Stro will make this team better, especially defensively, but I wouldn't expect him to be a difference maker and put them in the same league as SA, phoenix and dallas. Stro's offensive game needs a lot of improvement (has anyone see him do anything but dunk?). what we've seen over the last few years is that the NBA is a guard's game now. when you're facing steve nash, gnobli/parker and bibby in the playoffs, you must have an equalizer. Houston needs to address its PG situation soon. Don't know what their cap situation is like now after Stro, but I thought they should have made a run at Antonio Daniels. On another note, maybe JVG can finally get Stro to play up to his potential. Or maybe, Stro will end up were he was with Hubie Brown, the proverbial doghouse.
