made a pass round the field this evening got another 7. Not shooting good I don't guess knocked 3 others down 2 of them went into holes and one ran like hell don't know where he went. Gettin closer anyways.

 

You using a 22? I shoot them bastards with a 12 gauge when I'm serious about putting meat in the pot.

 

nah I am shotgunning them. Don't know what happened on the ones that ran off. Just didnt hit em good I guess. I do not buy the only kids shoot em with a shotgun nonsense. I go bc I want a pile of squirrels to eat.

 

Hell neither do I. I use 3 inch #6 and have never had one too messed up to eat.

I may use a 22 with powder less Super Colibri in town where the squirrels try to eat all the pecans in my mom's trees, if I did that. Since it would be illegal, I won't.

I don't usually want to clean more than about 8 at time with them anyways. As many as I have cleaned I still fumble with em. Pretty much the only game I target frequently that I wouldn't call myself more the proficient cleaning

 

Same reason i don't shoot robins in my back yard with a pellet gun. And they taste great

 

Made a short "hunt" this afternoon just in the yard. Got 4 more for the pile but kids had tball tonight so off to that quick
