Sounds about right. You won't get a ticket for under a grand unless you know someone or something. I know all of us here WANT to go to the game (full disclosure: I'm working on it *wink*), but being down in the Quarter or near downtown at any bar that evening will (nearly) be as much fun, both before and after the game. if you keep looking on ebay i saw 6 tickets for a little over 14,000 dollars with like a day or so left.
My ass will be planted in a bar watching the game on Bourbon or St. Charles...Even though it is quite possibly the biggest game of our history, I still wouldn't pay that amount...Actually, I would, but couldn't...
Just forked out 1600 for 2 so my Father and I can go. If we can't make it I can always sell them on ebay.
As much as I'd like to be at such an historic game, I just can't justify spending that kind of money. Years from now, I'll just tell people I was there. Who would know?
