1. Do you think that the Sugar bowl will be played in another city this year? I would assume it would.

I don't think they will get all the workers they need to get this project complete in time.

  2. Does it really matter?
  3. what about Tiger Stadium?? If Arizona State gets to have the Fiesta, then why not?
  4. Does it really matter?

Sorry dude, my heart goes out to all the victims in this hurricane. I ahve been upset all day. I use this message board as an outlet so I don't have to think about it 24/7. Just because I am wandering does not make me a jerk or insentive.

It would be cool if they let us have it at Tiger stadium, but you know that want ever happen
  5. Sorry didnt mean for it to come off that way. I am just pissed that I am stuck here in Texas while my families and friends suffer back home.

  6. it is understandable!

I think we will host it!
  7. I was thinking about that, too, as a side-note. The worst thing the NCAA needs right now is more bad publicity, and taking the Sugar Bowl and its revenue out of a state that just got slammed with destruction would definitely be "bad publicity". Also, where are the Saints going to play their home games? Tiger Stadium has crossed my mind there, too. We need to get back to some sense of normalcy as soon as possible. The recovery efforts in New Orleans and the surrounding areas eastward to Mobile will be long and heartbreaking...so some diversion is necessary.
  8. In light of all the tragedy, it's somewhat ridiculous to give thoughts to Sugar Bowls, NFL in Tiger Stadium and so forth. However, I caught myself engaging in some nutty stream of consciousness thinking about these topics earlier today. By the time I put those things out of mind, I had a TS Sugar Bowl and the Saints playing at Independence Stadium in Shreveport for a couple of games

One thing that occurred to me before I got serious again was how Katrina has sent the Saints packing for good. There is absolutely no way the Saints will get their precious new stadium now with all the other funds that the state will have to shell out to rebuild much of SE Louisiana.
