Tornado warnings all over the place around Jackson. Been that way for a couple of hours now.

6:30 p.m. in Plano, north of Dallas. It's been really windy since mid-afternoon. I would estimate some 40 mph gusts, with about 20 mph sustained winds (though that isn't really unusual for Dallas). Not a single drop of rain, but storm clouds have moved in from the east all day.

Just getting power back on in Morgan City, it's been off and on during the day. Lost some shingles and trees, that's about it. We had hurricane force winds here if I had to guess. It was hard to stand up at one point so we went inside... lol

It's raining like there's no tomorrow here right now. Sounds like Katrina outside, just with not as much wind.

I hope the bitch doesn't park herself on N. La, or even worse, turn and loop back into the La/Miss border like some models project. If she keeps on going, all we'll have to deal with at most come game time is some off and on showers.

The storm is on the move this morning. Dallas received absolutely no rain, and Rita has gone past the Arklatex.

So is it clear in BR now. I haven't talked to my folks in BR today. I hope it cant dry the field out some. Get some of those Jet Blowers they use for NASCAR races and dry the field out if they have too.
